Uninstalling a logger

To remove a deployed Logger, or to uninstall a hidden Boss Everyware, run the utility Rmbew.exe on the monitored computer.

Rmbew.exe is located in the folder {sys}\Wsa32 on the administrator's computer, where Boss Everyware is fully installed. To make it available for monitored computers, copy Rmbew.exe to a network share.

To remove the Logger silently, without confirmation dialogs and notifications, use the command-line parameter /q. This allows to run Rmbew.exe from scripts or remotely.

If the Logger is password-protected, append password to the /q parameter:
Rmbew.exe /qpassword

  • To remove the logger installed by an administrator: Run Rmbew.exe under an administrator's account.
    Examples:
    \\server\share\rmbew.exe /q                          - no password
    \\server\share\rmbew.exe /qv3hzurix            - password v3hzurix
  • To remove the logger installed at user-level: Run Rmbew.exe /u under account of the monitored user.
    Examples:
    \\server\share\rmbew.exe /u /q                          - no password
    \\server\share\rmbew.exe /u /qv3hzurix            - password v3hzurix

Please note that rmbew.exe uninstalls the hidden or deployed Boss Everyware only. To remove a fully installed Boss Everyware, use the Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs.
