Uploading logs to an FTP server

The log file can be silently uploaded to an FTP server when the logger closes the current file and starts the new one. To enable file uploads do the following:

1) Instruct the logger when to upload:

Open the schedule page in the Logger Configurator and set how often the logger should start new log files. In example below the logger will close the log  file and upload it once per day:

2) Set up FTP settings

Press FTP settings... to specify FTP connection settings, similar to those in an FTP client:

URL - URL where to upload the logs.

Username, Password - Set here the username and password that will be used to log in.

Port - TCP port used to connect to FTP server.

Passive - Enable passive mode if the logger is behind a firewall or NAT.

Proxy - Check this box and specify proxy settings if the logger should work through a proxy server.

If failed, retry every X minutes for up to Y minutes - If the first upload attempt is unsuccessful, the logger will try again every X minutes for up to Y minutes. If still no success, the logger will try to upload the file at a random time within 1.5 hour intervals. The logger will never show error messages,  even if this option is clear.

3) Test upload

Press Test upload to upload a test log according to the shown settings. You will see the complete talk to the FTP server.
