Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10
  Symantec Antivirus CE Server:
- In the Symantec System Center console tree, select and unlock your server group.
- Right-click the server group, then on
the drop-down menu, point to All Tasks,
point to Symantec Antivirus, and
then click Global Security Risk Exclusions…
- If a confirmation box appears, click
Yes.
- In the Global Security Risk Exclusions dialog box, click the Add button and wait until the Select Security Risk | Available Risks
listbox populates.
- In the Select Security Risk box, scroll down the Available Risks list, mark Spyware.BEverywhere and click OK.
- In the Global Security Risk Exclusions dialog box, click the Client tab.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5, then click OK.
  Symantec Antivirus CE Unmanaged Client:
- Open Symantec AntiVirus.
- In the console tree, navigate to Symantec Antivirus / Scan / Custom Scan.
- Click the button Options….
- In the Scan Options dialog box, click Actions.
- In the Actions box, select Security
Risks / Spyware, and then click the Exceptions
tab.
- Click the button Add and wait until the security risk list
gets populated.
- Scroll down the security risk list
and mark the item Spyware.BEverywhere,
then click Next >.
- In the First Action drop-down list box, select Exclude, click Finish and then click OK
once.
- Click the Save Settings button, then click OK (yes, clicking Save
Settings prior OK is
important).
- For each existing scan located in the folders Startup Scans, User-defined Scans, and Scheduled
Scans of the console tree:
- Click the button Edit…
- Repeat steps 3-9.
Note
that this operation is required only for existing scans. The newly created
scans inherit the exclusion settings, so you will not need to adjust them.
- In the console tree, navigate to Symantec Antivirus / Configure / File System
Auto-Protect.
- Click the Actions button.
- Repeat steps 5-8.
