E-mailing log files
The log file can be silently e-mailed when the logger closes the current file
and starts the new one. To enable the e-mailing:
1) Instruct the logger when to e-mail:
Open the Logger Configuration tool, click on the Schedule page
and set how often the logger should start a new log file. Then check the Email the closed log file.
In example below the logger closes the log file and e-mails it every 3 hours:
2) Set up the e-mail settings
Click E-mail settings... and set the e-mail options, similar to those
in an e-mail client:

- Send log files to - e-mail address where to send the logs
- Outgoing mail server / SMTP Port - SMTP server and its port used to send e-mails.
- Server requires authentication - Check this and type in your account name and password
if your server requires authentication.
- If failed, retry every X minutes for up to Y minutes - If the first
attempt to send the file is unsuccessful, the logger will try again every X
minutes for up to Y minutes. If still no success, the logger will keep trying at a random time once per 1.5 hour. The logger
will never show error messages, even if this option is turned off.
- Never launch IE auto-dialer - If checked, the logger
attempts to send e-mails only when already on-line. I.e. if the computer
configured to automatically connect to the Internet via modem, this option
suppresses the launch of Internet Explorer auto-dialer.
3) Send a test e-mail
Click Send test e-mail to send a test message according to the shown
settings. You will see the complete talk to the SMTP server.
