Using the Report Manager

Use Report Manager to view and analyze the logs. 

A report is a document which contains statements specifying which data to show and how to show them. In other words, reports are very similar to those used in database system queries, but have more specific functionality.

Create a report by pressing . You will see a blank report window and a Report Settings panel over it. Within this panel you can set up a report:

Specify where to get data,

Select which data to show,

Arrange columns,

Instruct how to group data,

Define sorting rules,

Apply some formatting options,

Alter fonts and grid lines.

To set the currently shown settings except the source files list as default for new reports, click . The print settings adjusted in the Print Preview | Design Report and Page Setup are also saved.

After a report is set up, click OK to activate settings and see the data.

To modify a report, you can open the report settings panel directly on the required page by pressing one of the following buttons: .

You can save a report as a file by pressing . To open a report, use or the list of most recently used reports (menu File - Reopen).

Use and to discard or re-apply the last changes made to the report settings.

To delete older records from the log file, press . If a non-grouped report is shown, the program prompts you to delete all the records older than the one where the cursor is. But you can specify any date/time or clear the log  completely.

To copy a selected part of the displayed data into the Clipboard, use or the Ctrl-Ins key combination.

To find a required part of the data, use and .

If an opened report uses data from a log file where data are still being written, click to update the report with the latest data.

To print a report, click (Print Preview), then use (Design Report) and (Page Setup) to adjust the report image, then print. The print settings you have adjusted will be saved in the report file along with the other report settings.

You can export data shown in the report into a HTML, Microsoft Excel or text file by pressing and selecting the required file type.
